Magical Books Photoshoot

Lately I’ve been sharing a lot of photos from our Summer road trip, but I wanted to take a quick break from those to share with you a mini photoshoot I did a couple of weeks ago.

I had the whole weekend to myself, so I took my camera, remote and tripod down to the river and snapped a few self portraits. I wanted these to have a fantasy feel to them, because I think books are pretty magical.

And what is magic without a bit of levitation? I discovered levitation photography back in the Spring and think it’s really fun. It makes people look twice, haha.

Are you wondering if I can really levitate? Ha. Well, I wish I could. Here is a great post by PetaPixel that has a good explanation of how levitation photos are done.

Basically, my magic weapon is a stool and a teeny bit of photoshop. But don’t tell anyone!

What super power would you want? I think flying would be pretty fabulous. But so would invisibility.
