Get Messy Thursday- Season of Happy Week 6
Happy Thursday! It is the last week of the Season of Happy over in the Get Messy community. Below are my pages.
Get Messy Art Journal is an art journaling program that is a school, art playground and family. We are a group of like minded art journalers who have come together under this art form to learn, share, practice our skills and push past our creative limits with hopes to inspire. I actually only got 1.5 pages done this week. I’ve been working on other projects and woke up with a cold yesterday so I didn’t get as much time in my journal as normal.
Nonetheless, I am super HAPPY about the pages I did make. Happiness is my goal in life and this first page is all about what happiness is to me.
The background is a gelli print, and I painted gesso around the edges so I could journal on top.
The girl is actually a part of my 365 sketchbook project, I drew her earlier this week and then decided she would look good in my journal, so I printed out a copy of her to use.
Now, I said I made “1.5 pages” this week, because on the page below I actually painted the astronaut girl weeks ago but never got around to adding anything else onto the page until yesterday when I wrote the “I could lose myself in the stars” saying.
My astronaut is actually inspired by a drawing I had seen on instagram by bokkei. I love her style.
What makes you happy? A good book and a cup of hot tea? Puppies? Star Trek episodes?? (Oh wait, those are all my happy things….)
