Get Messy Season of Color – Week 2
It is the Season of Color at *Get Messy. So for the next few weeks I’m working in this handmade journal.
*Get Messy Art Journal is an art journaling program that is a school, art playground and family. We are a group of like minded art journalers who have come together under this art form to learn, share, practice our skills and push past our creative limits with hopes to inspire. Let’s start this post with my favorite page from the week! Pink is my favorite color, so I decided to feature it on this page with a pink fern drawing.
It was only after completing this page that I googled pink ferns, and apparently some fern fronds do start out pink when they’re young. That’s magic! 😉
The background is watercolor, but I colored in the fern with Tombow Dual Brush Pens.
Next up, 2 space-y pages!
I don’t think I am finished with this Mars page, but I didn’t get a chance to go back and add anymore layers yet.
The hands on the page below are actually stickers by my friend Elly Mack. I stuck them on this page after doing the marbled high flow acrylic background, next to the galaxy image.
That’s it for this week. I’ve been working on some secret projects (including a class for Big Picture Classes!) so I haven’t had as much time to play.
