Get Messy Season of Color- Week 1
It is the Season of Color at *Get Messy. So for the next few weeks I’m working in this handmade journal.
*Get Messy Art Journal is an art journaling program that is a school, art playground and family. We are a group of like minded art journalers who have come together under this art form to learn, share, practice our skills and push past our creative limits with hopes to inspire. Our community values consistent creating, encouragement and support and trying new things. We would love to have you join us as a member of Get Messy Art Journal.

The journal I had made to use with the last Get Messy season (contrast) is only about half full, so I am continuing to use it for the Season of Color. I almost made a new journal for the season, because I love binding journals, but I decided I’d rather have this one full than half empty.
Onto my pages for the week:
First up, I have this rainbow page!
After adhering on that striped rainbow paper, I decided I wanted to cut out a “window” to the next page, and then I decided to sketch the girl showing through.
I got out my Tombow Dual Brush Pens and colored her rainbow. I posted a quick video on instagram, I’m @katiebug92.

After flipping the page over, you can see all of the girl I sketched, and then I made a list of colors and their emotions.

My next page to share:
This one I kind of like, but at the same time it almost doesn’t feel like it is my “style”, you know?

Another window cut out. This time a heart shape.
