Dinosaur Plant Markers DIY
I know what you’re thinking.. Another spring/garden craft, Katie? In February?
Well, get used to it, because Spring is my second favorite season. (right after Autumn with all of it’s pumpkin-y goodness.) As I mentioned in this post, My Dad and I are working on building our Spring garden so I made these plant markers out of toy dinosaurs.
How did I end up with 2 toy dinosaurs? Well, We were out playing PuttPutt a few days ago and normally I just give all of the tickets I win playing in the arcade (I love DanceDanceRevolution, haha!) to a little kid who will enjoy all of the little toys and candy more than me, but this time I spotted some toy dinosaurs in the prize booth and I wanted them! 🙂
I had enough game tickets to get 2 dinosaurs, and still give 100 tickets to a little kid.
Supplies: Toy Dinosaurs, Labels (I just wrote on some cardstock) Contact paper, Craft Knife or Box Knife, Glue Dots
1. Laminate your labels with contact paper.
2. Using your craft knife, Slice open your dinosaurs mouth a little bit so that you can slide the labels in.
3. Apply a glue dot to the back of your label and stick it in the dinosaurs mouth.
I love these little guys, We haven’t put any plants in our garden yet, but here’s a picture of my dino’s outside.
