What are your favorite things about Autumn? I have so many. Cooler weather. Pumpkin everything. Rainy days. Colorful leaves. Hiking.🎃🍁
I wanted to share this page with you, and show you how you can easily recreate this Autumn Girl Illustration.

Watch the video below to see how to create this page.
Supplies:
Tombow Dual Brush Pens (affiliate)
Tombow 1500 Colored Pencils (affiliate)
Mixed Media Paper
Tombow Brown Fudenosuke (affiliate)
Tombow Water Brush (affiliate)
White Gel Pen
I started by sketching the girl out with a brown Fudenosuke Brush Pen.
Then coloring the girl with Dual Brush Pens for a watercolor effect. I added Dual Brush Pen colors directly to the paper, and brushed over them with a Water Brush for direct blending. This technique works on Mixed Media Paper (What I’m using here!) or Watercolor paper for the best blending, and it’s best to work quickly so the ink doesn’t dry too long before you add the water. Make sure you work in sections, for example, let her face dry before moving onto her hair, so that the colors don’t blend into each other!
Then went over her with Tombow’s 1500 Colored Pencils to add in detail and smooth colors! I really love the effect you can get by layering colored pencils over top of markers (I like to do it on both Tombow's water-based Dual Brush Pens and alcohol-based ABT PRO's).
I finished her off by adding some details with a white gel pen.
This is in my art journal, so I also wrote out a list of my favorite things about Autumn, and as you can see I am definitely team pumpkin!
