30 Days of Watercolor- Week 1 Check in
If you missed my announcement I am doing 30 days of watercolor paintings this month.
It’s been over a week of colors and painting so I thought I’d check in. I’m painting whatever strikes my fancy each day, be that portraits, pets, nature or random designs. This past week it’s definitely been random. I think if I do this again, I may come up with a set of prompts before hand to stick to.

Day 1: A cactus painting plus some crazy brushstroke patterns.

Day 2. A Bobcat.
Crazy story- I was laying in my hammock last week when this bobcat walked by. I decided to paint him.

Day 3: The moon. I was almost a slacker for this day. I waited until bedtime to paint anything and by then I was tired and wanted to keep it simple. So I painted this moon in like 5 minutes. 🙂

Day 4: A Watercolor Chart. I followed this fabulous tutorial by Jennifer Frith on how to make a watercolor chart. IT shows what my 15 different watercolors in cotman pan set looks like when mixed.

Day 5: A Rainbow Bear.

Day 6: Fall. It’s full on Fall here in the Pacific Northwest and I love it.

Day 7. Trees. This painting is inspired by our Summer trip to the Redwood forest in California. The redwood trees were HUGE.

Day 8: An Om-nom-nom-asaur. I’m not sure why, but I felt like painting a dinosaur.

This has been a really fun challenge so far! You’re welcome to play along with me if you want! Just share your work with the hashtag #30daysofwatercolor or #punkprojects
